Happy Thanksgiving!

"Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever." Psalm 107:1

Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you all had a lovely day full of wonderful family time and delicious food.  I had such a blessed time today in the kitchen baking pies all morning and helping with the final touches of the meal.  I got creative in the kitchen and created some new designs for my pie crust. 

It was hard to cut into these pies because of all the hard work I put into them.  But they tasted oh so good!  

Eating all this yummy food today made me think of how much we need spiritual food.  The verse from Psalm 34:8 comes to mind; "Oh Taste and See that the Lord is Good." 

Today I am not only thankful for the physical food that was, I'll say it again, oh so delicious.  But I'm so thankful for the spiritual food I find each day I open up God's word.

I pray that you have been able to taste and see that the Lord is good today and everyday.  

Now it's off to bed for me and I can't wait to jam to Christmas Music all day tomorrow!

Someday...

Snuggling up with a good book, a warm blanket, and my favorite warm winter boots sounds so much more appealing than the long list of things I have planned for today.   When I say a long list, I mean long.  I also mean an actual physical list.  One you can pick up and take with you wherever you go. Each day I like to write down a list of the things I want to get accomplished.  I usually put more on the list than I know I can do because it motivates me to get as much done as I can (but then I'm always so bummed when I can't check that one last thing off, haha).  

Writing a blog post is one of the projects on my list for today. I've been running low on inspiration for this blog but we''ll see where this goes. 

So are you a list writer, or do you just go with whatever the day brings?  I've always been a lover of making list and writing things down.  I can't help it, it's a part of who I am.

As I each day goes by the items get checked off of my list, new list  are made, and progress is slowly being seen in each of my projects.  I keep this verse in mind as I work.

"Whatever you do Work at it with all your heart as if working for the lord."

Whether you make list, or you just go with the flow of whatever the day brings, if you work at it with all your heart as if working for the Lord, you will go far.

And someday, hopefully soon, I will be able to finish everything on my list and actually have time to read a book with my cozy boots while enjoying my favorite hot drinks....someday

And someday maybe I'll be able to figure out this whole blog thing and actually be consistent in posting.
